Here Are My Dreams.

Hello my invisible readers,

Yes, yes you are… Damn. I need a friend. Okay. Short one last time. Not sure how big this will be. I am doing a challenge. Challenge says. “Define your dream and share it with the world” posting it on here counts, right? Well. It does now.

So, the dream. I think part of that is clear. I want to Travel. other parts. Might not be so clear. Laying it all out now:

My dream is to be a nomadic entrepreneur. That writes fantasy stories. And looking sexy while doing it. Basically, to break it down I want.

  • To travel. Come on. It’s a big, mixed up, weird world out there. Who wouldn’t want to see as much as possible of it?
  • To be an entrepreneur. Well, who doesn’t these days. Old fashioned folk. That’s who.
  • To be a fantasy writer. Harry Potter and Anita Blake have a lot to answer to.
  • I want to look, in my eyes, sexy. There is a reason I don’t post pics of me. Not even selfies on Instagram. Blah.

Okay, that’s it. Challenge. Done. And I don’t care what anyone says. Unless, it’s advice. Not advice to shut up. But advice is good. Honestly. The day I shut up. Is. okay that could happen, but still.

Walking In Footsteps.

Hello invisible readers,
Are you even there? Well, don’t suppose it really matters. I’m here. Given this is my blog. That’s all that really matters. Last time I talked, more rambled, about my parents inspiring my life to lead in different ways. Not an exciting read. Then again. If this blog was exciting. People might read it. We certainly can’t have that.

Today, I am going to annoy you with more rambling. It’s what I’m good at. Okay? And today’s ramble is about. Well, I haven’t a clue. This is more just posting for the sake of posting. Which, if you read my older posts. Is clear is all I have ever done with this blog. My blog has no clear sense of purpose or direction. I would like it to be a travel blog. But, I currently live in a no where town. And thou I have done a bit of travel. I seem to be going nowhere now. Hang on. Blog post forming within the ramble. I can talk about…

The adventures I have already been one. Okay let’s keep it short and talk about just one. Kokoda. Every heard of it? fascinating place and history. Kokoda track is found in Papa New Guinea. Just north of Australia. The track is some of the hardest terrain you can find in the world. This place is important to Australian history. It’s where, in WW2. We Aussies fought along side the locals to stop the Japanese from reaching our home. Okay, there was that whole bombing in Darwin thing. But, despite the tragedies of Kokoda. We were victories.

These days Kokoda is a well-worn track from tourists all around the world. Walking the path where the Aussie diggers and the Japanese fought. I, being one of the many. And I can say, it was bloody hard.

2015. Was when my father and I walked the track. I won’t go into detail. This was meant to be a short post after all. I will say that the only easy part of the whole thing was the first morning when we had the Dawn Service. And if you can’t guess why we would want to go to a Dawn service there, on that year. You can google it. Mental and physical toughness are a must for doing the track. A few points about the track. You will never be fit enough to walk it unless, you train yourself like a solider beforehand. Also, remember if you ever do walk it. Warm down. That was my biggest mistake. Going from Kokoda and into normal living was hell on my body. There is a damn good reason the say warm down after working out. walking Kokoda is the biggest workout you will ever do. Ease back into normal life. Yes, I can hear you scoffing. But do consider. I was only 21. So, young and healthy. And I ended up in hospital because of liver failure. Not a smoker and hadn’t had a drink. So, can’t blame that. Yet, that happened. A lot of people mention soreness. Yet there is also the sad truth. That walking the track can kill. People have walked it. Just to walk in the footsteps of the diggers. And have died.

I hope I haven’t scared you. It is one thing I truly believe everyone should do. Even once. I just want, you to be ready, for it.

On that note. Let’s end this, somewhat gloomy ramble.

I’m Feeling Inspired.

Hello invisible readers,

I was thinking. I know, I know. I shouldn’t do that. Might hurt myself. But, still I thought. About inspiration. It always seemed to me that inspiration was like getting hit over the head with a bolt of lightning. Yet, now I think it sneaks up on you. Waiting for the right moment to go. “Hey! Look at me!”

My inspiration was very sneaky. In fact, until I started thinking about it. I never realised how I was being inspired to do what I do. My main inspiration in life has, in different ways. Been my Mum and Dad. My Dad has always been my travel inspiration. It really should have been obvious. I grew up on stories of his adventures. And still he goes away. Bring back new stories. Okay, I might be a little slow. Still, my travel inspiration started with my Dad. Which lead me to find other sources of travel inspiration. Blogs. Seeing the stories that other people had to tell. Having always wanted, still wanting, to be a writer. I’m also lazy, have you noticed? Having a blog seemed like the greatest thing in the world. Should have looked more into it. Oh well. I have it now. So, better start using it.

Mum. Well, she inspired me in a whole different way. Dad was more, I want to do that. Mum is and was always. I hope I don’t turn into you. Yet, my life as always been, do what makes my mother proud of me. A little confusing, right? Yeah. It also leads to a great deal of misery. Trying to be someone you are not. But, inspiration final slapped me in the face. I saw how my mum really influenced my life. She was my greatest inspiration, with money. Okay, yes. That sounds weird. Dad inspires travel. Mum inspires, money. Well, she inspired having it. Always having it, so as not to go without. Save it. Mum always spent money. A single mum with two kids, working part time while on a pension. Yes, other people do the same. Yet, she acted as if money wasn’t an issue. And that you should use it. It left me, not having to spend the money I made. When I started work. I saved. I found I liked holding onto money. I liked earning it. and having it there for something bigger than just, surviving. Mum also likes to talk a lot. Explaining in detail everything she is trying to do. Only reason I ever knew she was on a pension. Or where the money was coming from. Still, money. Just that need to have money was inspired by my mother. A woman, that never held on to a job. Never acted as if money was anything other than a means to an end. And someone that thought she was smart with it. Now she’s nearly 50. Jobless and without a retirement fund. Trying to get into stocks when she is still learning basic computer how to.

Lazy and holding onto money. Always, saving money. That’s how my life has turned out. One parent inspires the life I want. The other inspires to prevent that life from happening. I wonder how different things could be, if I didn’t care about what others think of me?

I guess this blog. Might be the answer.

Places I want to See.

Okay, I said I wanted to make this a travel blog. Only Problem is, I’m still living with my dad and haven’t done anything to start traveling. Fear not, I have many, many places in mind as to where I want to go first. So today I’m listing the five different countries I want to travel to. Readers are welcome to tell me which place I should choose first.

1. Italy:

Italy, the land of pizza, and full of historical interest. From julius Caesar to Michelangelo. This is one Country that a history enthusiast like myself can really get into. Old ruins and of Course the food, pizza and pasta may be the most common known, but still. Who wouldn’t travel to try and eat everything.

2. United Kingdom:

I watch far too many shows based in England, all of which show the most beautiful landscape ever. Rolling green hills and Stunning Architecture. It is filled with a variety of things to do. From seeing plays on a cliff by the sea to dog friendly pubs. Could never be bored discovering a new activity in this place.

3. Japan:

One word: Anime. Well, there is also the culture of the place. Little things like Ghaisas and tea ceremony add to the charm and allure of these place.

4. Holland:

This one is more a family reason rather than anything it offers, my nan having been born there before making the way to Australia. It does still offer a lot to see, the windmill are certainly a must. Plus who would like to stay in a country that’s officially below sea level. I do wonder how that actually works…

5. United States of America:

Mixed feelings about the U.S of A, with questionable government choices and shootings all over the news. It almost seems safer to travel else where. But with cities like New York and Las Vegas, the appeal of such a place remains strong. Visiting the Grand Canyon would be nice as well.

Well, hope you liked my little list. Here’s hoping I get off my ass soon.
